Application Guide – Vinyl Wallpaper

Our Sweet Papaya vinyl wallpaper is made from high-quality materials, with a durable finish and a subtle texture that adds depth and long-lasting performance. To ensure a perfect result, carefully follow these instructions.

1. Wall preparation

The wall must be clean, dry, smooth, and free from dust, grease, or loose paint. If the surface is very porous, it is recommended to apply a primer beforehand. Do not apply the wallpaper on damp walls or on surfaces with heavy textured finishes (e.g. pronounced popcorn texture).

2. Adhesive preparation

Prepare the adhesive following the manufacturer’s instructions. Stir thoroughly until you obtain a homogeneous mixture and allow it to rest if indicated.

3. Application method (very important)

For this vinyl wallpaper, it is recommended to apply adhesive to both the wall and the wallpaper:

  1. Apply an even layer of adhesive to the wall.
  2. Apply a thin layer of adhesive to the back of the wallpaper.
  3. Position the strip from top to bottom, adjusting carefully.
  4. Remove air bubbles from the center toward the edges using a spatula.

4. Adjustments, trimming, and drying

Align the seams carefully without overlapping. Trim excess material using a utility knife and metal ruler. Clean any adhesive residue immediately. Allow to dry naturally for at least 24 hours, avoiding drafts or intense heat.

By following these steps, you will achieve an elegant, durable, premium-quality finish that truly defines Sweet Papaya.
